Regardless of the techniques used, AssetCare will aggregate all your condition monitoring results giving an overview of your site, allowing users to easily identify problem areas and drill down to relevant detail. Engineers can filter acccording to the parameters that concern them - whether by problem assets, site area, monitoring technique or component category.
AssetCare acts as a permanent repository for all documents and photographs relating to your site and equipment. Documents including reference manuals, site documentation, equipment configuration and test certifcates can be stored alongside copmonents or site locations, easily indexed and available for future use. Components that require software configuration can have their operating parameters stored against the appropriate component record - directly available for upload into any replacement equipment.
AssetCare provides maintenance managers with all tools for intelligent management of their production equipment and stores. Easily searchable information means that it's simple to find and view details of any component - motors, gearboxes, fans, pumps, drives and inverters etc. AssetCare is more valuable in the event of equipment failure though - allowing users to simply enter the tag number of a failed item and then instantly locate any potential replacements. Appropriate spares can be ensured by using the stock reconciliation feature to compare equipment in production with available replacements.
Every aspect of your relationship with RJW is manageable through AssetCare. Every repair job and quotation is made available electronically, along with appropriate documentation - so customer relationships with RJW are as visible and transparent as possible. The Timeline feature shows a chronological history of all events, whether they are quotations being produced or jobs being returned to customers.
AssetCare maintains an auditable history for every piece of equipment on your site. Every instance of a motor being moved, scrapped, sent for repair becomes a logged event, allowing users to view the history of every component, along with a timestamp and the user that actioned the event.

The AssetCare Dashboard
Logging on to AssetCare will reveal the Dashboard screen. The purpose of the dashboard is to alert users to any issues on their site, and to give an overview of work currently undertaken by RJW.
The welcome message in the top left-hand corner of the screen displays the name of the currently logged in user, and the date and time on which they last viewed AssetCare.
The component status table gives a snapshot of machinery health, based on condition monitoring work undertaken. Derived from the most recent condition monitoring data (whether vibration analysis, thermography, motion amplification), the matrix shows asset status against criticality.
This makes it easy to see where alert or alarm levels have been breached, and relate that to the most critical components on your site.
Repair Work at RJW
The column on the right-hand side allows you to see details of components currently undergoing repair at RJW. Each tile shows the RJW job number, a description of the item under repair, your order number if supplied, component tag number, date received by RJW and the expected date of return.
Once jobs are returned to a customer, they are removed from this list. However, the "Jobs" section of the search screen allows you to see details of all / historic jobs performed by RJW.
Clicking on the "Edit" button under a job description allows you to expedite jobs by providing an order number directly from the dashboard screen. Enter your order number in the box provided and this will be sent directly to RJW staff.
The search screen gives an incredibly powerful way for you to search for component information and view all information relating to work and quotation history.
The search screen is divided into four columns. Each column will scroll independently, allowing you to view the complete list of components, or move through job and quotation history. The Components column lists every asset in use, or stored on your site. This would typically include motors, gearboxes, fans, pumps and inverters. Each component has a unique tag number, and for each component, manufacturer, site location, frame size and serial number are shown by default. Other properties may appear as you search for them.
The Jobs column lists all repair jobs undertaken by RJW. Scrolling to the bottom of the column allows you to bring up information on every job performed since the start of your relationship with RJW. Each job tile shows the RJW job number, a description of the job, the date received by RJW and the date despatched (once the job has been returned) and the customer's order number.
The Quotations column lists every quotation produced by RJW, for every staff member on site. Each quotation tile shows the RJW quote number, a short description of the item quoted, quote date and corresponding job number.
The Timeline column shows a chronological list of events - every touch-point in a customer's relationship with RJW. The events include jobs being sent to RJW for repair, jobs being despatched back to a customer, quotations being produced, and condition monitoring work being performed etc...
Every piece of information regarding your component inventory or job history is searchable. Simply type in the "Search" box in top left-hand corner of the screen, and the data shown will update to reflect your search terms.
If you know the tag number of a component you wish to find, simply enter the tag number in the search field. Similarly, you can enter a manufacturer name (for example, enter Siemens to find all your Siemens components), enter a site location (enter Stores to find all your components in Stores), or search on frame size, serial number, motor power etc.
If you know a particular RJW job number, you can enter the job number into the search box to bring up the job directly. Otherwise, you may enter part of the job description (for example, enter Siemens to find every Siemens repair job), or your order number to find a specific job.
You may enter any RJW quote number to go directly to a quotation, or enter the name of a staff member to view all quotations produced for that person.
Clicking on a component tile will reveal a pop-up window with details of the selected component. The title of the window includes the tag number of the component, and the window is then split into tabs specific to the type of component selected.
Every component will have a Component Details tabs, showing summary details of the item. The details tab will show tag number, procurement date (if known) and audit date. If the procurement date is known, then the exact age of the component can be calculated, otherwise the time since the item was audited is shown. Other details include component criticality, manufacturer, serial number and part number.
The following tabs may vary depending on the type of component selected. The tab shown below lists the physical and electrical characteristics of the selected motor.
AssetCare will index photos of any chosen component and store them alongside the component record for future reference.
Clicking on a job detail displays a pop-up window with information about the selected job. For every job, we show details directly from RJW's ERP system - including job number, the RJW department that dealt with the job, job description, date received and date despatched, and customer order number.
Jobs are also fault coded, for later root-cause and site-trends analysis. The codes assigned for cause of failure, result of repair etc are shown here.
RJW staff can upload photographs and store them against job records.
Clicking on a quotation will display all the relevant information about that quote. AssetCare shows the quote number, the date on which the quote was produced, the employee the quote was produced for, and the RJW staff member who generated the quote.
The bottom half of the window shows the quotation price, expected delivery time and your order number (if supplied).
AssetCare allows RJW employees to store photographs alongside quotations. Any images that are relevant to a quotation are indexed and kept alongside the quote, always viewable from within AssetCare.
Clicking on the "View Quotation" button at the bottom of the window will show the actual PDF quotation document in a new browser window. All quotations produced are kept and are viewable at any future point within AssetCare.
The ability to find matching components is critically important when attempting to locate replacements in the event of a component failure. Because AssetCare has full details of equipment on your site, and because of the unique way in which component properties are modelled in its data store, it's easy to identify replacement items after a failure - something that is fundamental in reducing downtime.
Simply enter the tag number of the failed item in the box at the top-left hand corner of the screen. AssetCare will automatically identify the component and display its relevant attributes. In the example above, AssetCare identifies tag 899 as an AC motor, and so displays manufacturer, serial number, frame size, power and speed.
In the second column, AssetCare will display relevant attributes of the failed item. These properties will be different depending on whether the item is a motor or inverter etc. Selecting an attribute will cause AssetCare to match the property of the failed item with every other corresponding item available. The results are displayed in the final column.
The Replacement Components section displays all components that match selected attributes, ranked according to availability. Items available from stores locations are shown first, followed by production items with low criticality, then medium, then high.
AssetCare offers the most comprehensive set of tools to allow maintenance staff to view details of asset condition. At the top level, AssetCare gives a uniform view of machinery health regardless of the particular analysis techniques used. Components are shown with colour-coding to indicate whether alert or alarm levels have been exceeded, regardless of whether vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis or motion amplification has been employed.
The condition monitoring screen offers tools to allow engineers to quickly find the assets or site locations that interest them. Using the drop-down lists at the top of the screen, it's possible to filter the components shown according to analysis type (i.e. vibration analysis, thermography etc). Maintenance staff that only want to see the results of vibration analysis can easily exclude other analysis types.
Similarly, it's possible to filter the component list according to site area, or the result of the condition monitoring activity - i.e. to show only the components where an alert or an alarm level has been breached. The final drop-down list allows users to limit the components shown by assigned criticality - for instance to view only the high-importance components on a site. Complex searches are possible - for example, to view all the high-criticality assets in a particular site area where an alarm level has been exceeded.
Components matching the chosen filters are shown on the left-hand side of the screen. The icon gives a quick view of the type of analysis performed, and the colour shows whether alert or alarm levels have been exceeded - based on the most recent analysis performed. Components are ranked by results, with the items most likely to fail shown first.
Clicking on a component will populate the middle column, which shows the history of analysis performed. Each tile shows the analysis date, and is colour-coded according to the results at that point in time.
The final column shows the results of the condition monitoring - specific to the type of analysis performed. The example above shows the data produced during vibration analysis, along with the analyst findings and recommendations.
New to the RJW condition monitoring portfolio, motion amplication is a innovative recording and software solution that detects subtle motion and amplifies it to a level visible to the naked eye. This is an incredibly powerful tool for detecting potential faults and communicating impending failure to staff that may not have an engineering background.
The motion amplification results and videos are linked to the relevant components on AssetCare and are permanently available for viewing.
